How to control the lights in the house via smartphone, remote or voice, and also throw legendary parties.
In the summer of 2020, Signify introduced devices for a smart home lighting system.
Among the new products was a set of Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance smart bulbs that can change colors, brightness and shades, and the lights can be controlled by remote control, an app on your phone and voice assistants.
The Hue Go luminaire can do all the same.
In addition, the new products have many other interesting and convenient features, which we will tell you about next.

The basic Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance kit includes three bulbs, control box, remote control, instructions, cable for the remote, and stickers and racks so the remote can be attached to any surface.
There is only one Philips Hue Go light in the set, but it comes with a wire.
The most interesting thing is that the light can work even without it.
That is, you can easily hold it in your hands, take it to another room to read a book or fall asleep under the soft flicker mode.
So Hue Go will work for about 15 hours, but in maximum brightness mode this time is reduced by three times.
And the device can only be connected to 220 V mains.

ELECTROLUX Quantum Series: Choosing a heater
You can adjust the lighting to suit your mood and activity.
Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance is a set of smart bulbs that can shine white and colored light.
And you can choose the color, its shades and brightness yourself.
With the set you can set a cool white light to wake up in the morning, in the evening surround yourself with muted yellow colors for a warm and cozy atmosphere, or you can set the lamps purple, purple, coral, green, blue, moonlight, raspberry, pink, lettuce, turquoise, and so on.

It is no more difficult to install than a normal light bulb.
In the instructions to the bulbs, it is written in detail how to connect them.
But everything turned out to be simpler – as with conventional light bulbs.
You just have to screw the bulb into the socket of the lamp or chandelier.
The bulbs can already be controlled using the remote from the kit: turn on and off, adjust the brightness and switch between the four built-in lighting options.
To use all the features of the bulbs, you need the control unit from the kit and the PhilipsHue app, which you need to download to your phone.
All the bulbs are connected, you just need to check that the bulbs are turned on and connect the control unit to your Wi-Fi router using the small cable provided.
After that, you need to download the PhilipsHue app.
It is free, available in the App Store and on Google Play.
In the application itself, you need to create an account and create a home system – designate the rooms or spaces in which there are bulbs using icons.
The last step is to think of a name for each bulb and its location, for example, “lamp in the living room” or “lamp on the desktop.

You can set modes, control remotely, and connect to a smart home.
The PhilipsHue app itself has many functions.
You can select color on the spectrum, adjust intensity and brightness, start a timer to run the light, set specific scenarios, save them, and turn them on when you need them.
For example, you can create a scenario “Waking up” – exactly at 8 am (or at any other convenient time) light bulbs in the bedroom will be lit with soft dim light and will gradually gain brightness, like the sun, which rises gradually.
With this alarm clock, waking up is comfortable and very pleasant.
The number of scenarios in the app is unlimited.

The lighting can be controlled by voice assistants.
If the lights are connected to the PhilipsHue app, you can control them with voice assistants.
With Alice it works clearly: it is comfortable to lie on the couch and command the lights.
You only need to turn to the assistant and ask, for example, to turn on “lamp 1” or make the brightness of the lamp in the living room to 80%.
To connect to the voice assistant you need to open its settings and under “Devices” select “Smart Home” and add Philips Hue from the list.

Many additional features.
Another app, hueManic, allows you to turn on party mode, where lamps (including the Philips Hue Go) blink in different colors to the beat of the music playing.
With the PhilipsHue app, you can control your lighting even when you’re away from home.
You can check if the lights are off, or turn them on when you enter a building.
If the lights are connected to Alice, you can control the lights through the Yandex app.
And both voice and text commands.
In add-ons there are recommended applications, with the help of which you can simulate in the apartment flickering fireplace or rolling thunder and lightning.
You can control the light bulbs from multiple devices.
All you need to do is to download the application and log in to the desired account.
The control cabinet will be available to several users at once.
The control unit can be connected to a single smart home system.
